Oxford Live Course

Oxford Live is a course for the surgical cardiologist who is implanting, or plans to implant the subcutaneous ICD covering applied surgical techniques and anatomy of relevance for implantation. Arrhythmia Alliance Cardiac Update Meetings

These meetings are for all healthcare professionals involved in the management and treatment of arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation. These meetings provide a platform for education, as well as sharing best practice and information on topics such as device and drug treatments, atrial fibrillation and syncope. In addition these meetings are an opportunity to network locally with healthcare professionals in all areas of cardiac service provision, academic institutions and professional bodies.

Advanced Surgical Techniques for S-ICD Implantation

Vesalius Clinical Training Centre, University of Bristol

This course is designed to provide implanting cardiologists with an advanced level of instruction in the surgical materials and skills needed for implantation of the Subcutaneous Implantable Defibrillator (S-ICD) System. The course will focus on the anatomy of reference with the aim of refining techniques to reduce surgical complication and enhance cosmetic results. Two delegates to one faculty member enables detailed tuition fitting in well with the course format of interactive workshops, practical based short lectures and seminar discussions. The faculty consists of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and plastic surgeons.  This course carries BHRS Accreditation.
