BHRS Reaccreditation

There are several options available to suit you

Reaccreditaton Options for All Candidates

Note: The new reaccreditation system will be available from the beginning of 2024.  Anyone with accreditation due to expire in 2024 will be granted an extension to the end of 2024 while we transition over to the new system.  An online form will become available to submit your reaccreditation evidence.  Please keep relevant evidence of any CRM courses, symposiums, conferences etc. While we begin collating BHRS Point-approved events for 2024 and onwards we will accept proof of attendance at a minimum of one major conference (e.g. HRC or EHRA) and 2 relevant external courses.

The BHRS council has a formal commitment to maintaining our members’ skills and knowledge through re- accrediting processes and provision of high quality and relevant education.

Following accreditation, if you wish to remain accredited, you will need to re-accredit when your certification is about to expire to ensure maintenance of your CIED’s implant/follow up skills, background knowledge and/ or electrophysiology skills.

This document outlines the processes by which you can access re-accreditation for each of the accreditation processes that we offer. This process is voluntary, but without it, you would need to repeat the accreditation process to gain new BHRS accreditation.

Demonstrating skill maintenance: BHRS recognises that the number of CIEDs follow ups/implants and electrophysiology cases personally performed by an individual varies according to their seniority and their role in a department. We, therefore, accept evidence of professional activity in the three options below with minimum numbers within each option that applies.

IBHRE and EHRA accredited members can also reaccredit with BHRS using the below options
