Statement – Junior Doctor Strike – 24- 28th February 2024

In light of the ongoing doctors’ strike, we want to assure you that the upcoming inaugural BHRS Scientific Sessions will proceed as planned from 27-29 February at the Manchester Midland Hotel. We acknowledge the challenges this strike may pose and are committed to ensuring that the conference continues to take place and that our aims and objectives are met.

We recognise the importance of this conference for all participants and stakeholders involved. The topics to be discussed, the knowledge to be shared, and the connections to be made are invaluable and we believe that proceeding with the event is in the interest of everyone involved. Please be assured that we will be taking necessary steps to address any potential challenges that may arise due to the strike action. We are in the process of liaising with our esteemed faculty members regarding the delivery of their presentations and are considering the most efficient ways in which we can engage with those who will inevitably be unable to join us as originally planned.

Further details will be shared during the next weeks, but should you have any queries in the meantime please don’t hesitate to contact the organising secretariat bhrs@millbrookconferences.co.uk

Bursaries & Study Leave

When registering, there is a section on bursaries, complete the information if you feel you qualify and register your place for just £1, and we will be in touch to confirm eligibility and request evidence of funding refusal.

Or, are you awaiting study leave, and worried you’ll miss out on securing a place? We haven’t forgotten about you either. Use the code ‘IMWAITING’ at checkout and you can secure your place on the course for just £1! Then, we’ll be in touch when the registration deadline approaches to confirm your place on the course. If study leave is accepted, we can charge the full course fee at this time, or, if your funding has been refused, you can send in evidence of refusal, and we will see if you are eligible for a bursary.
