BHRS Council Elections

Note: Deadline 16th September.  Voting will take place 30th September to 28th October 2024

British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS) is looking to recruit 2 x new Doctor Representatives.

  • 2 x Doctor representative

If you feel you would like to contribute to the running of your Society, please apply to become a member of Council. This is your opportunity to help shape how BHRS develops whilst gaining excellent experience of becoming involved with influencing national policy and gaining a better understanding of national arrhythmia services.

All posts have a tenure of three years and are renewable for a second term after successful re-election.

  • The successfully elected candidates will officially join BHRS Council at the first council meeting after the elections. This is usually in October.  This council meeting will be via Zoom.

  • Council work is fulfilling but you should expect to work additional hours to promote the efforts of BHRS

What Council Work Involves…

Council meets five to six times per year.  Presently, meetings are held via Zoom. Any face to face meetings are usually held at the BCS offices in London.

All council members are expected to attend a minimum of two meetings per year.

In addition to the responsibilities of the position, members of Council automatically become Trustees of BHRS, a Registered Charity and must accept the responsibilities associated with that position.
