BHRS Reaccreditation System

We are excited to announce the launch of our brand new, streamlined BHRS accreditation system! This slick new system makes it easier than ever to maintain your accreditation and demonstrate your ongoing commitment to excellence in the field.

If your BHRS qualification is from 2014 or before, your accreditation is due to expire in 2024. BHRS have extended this deadline until the end of the year to give you ample time to transition to the new system.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Check your expiry date: The email you received is based on the information we have on file. To double-check your specific expiry date, please refer to the helpful breakdown below:
    • Accredited in 2022 or later: Expires 5 years from your full certification date (passing both the exam and logbook).
    • Accredited between 2014 and 2021: Expires 10 years from your full certification date.
    • Accredited between 2006 and 2013: Expires December 31st, 2024.
    • Accredited in 2005 or earlier: Expires December 31st, 2024.
  • Reaccredit with ease: Our new online form allows you to effortlessly submit your accreditation evidence. Don’t forget to keep a hold of relevant documents like certificates from any CRM courses, symposiums, or conferences you’ve attended.
  • Maintaining your skills: The BHRS is dedicated to supporting our members’ ongoing professional development. Reaccrediting ensures you stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in CIED implantation/follow-up skills, background knowledge, and electrophysiology expertise.
  • Reaccreditation options: The new system offers flexible options to suit your needs and experience. You can choose to:
    • Option 1 (5-yearly accreditation): Meet the BHRS standard for CIED follow-ups/implants or electrophysiology cases, and demonstrate CPD by earning 20+ BHRS points over 5 years from a minimum of two categories. (Please note: this option does not apply to nurses.)
    • Option 2 (5-yearly accreditation): Achieve CPD by earning 25+ BHRS points over 5 years from a minimum of two categories, even if you haven’t met the recommended minimum number of CIED procedures.
    • Option 3 (5-yearly accreditation): Retake and pass the BHRS exam (logbook completion not required).
