EHRA: Survey – The European Heart Rhythm Association Scientific Initiative Committee has launched a survey about sedation practices during atrial fibrillation ablation

The European Heart Rhythm Association Scientific Initiative Committee has launched a survey about sedation practices during atrial fibrillation ablation.  To respond to the survey, please click on the below link. It takes no more than 5 minutes. Please note that only one response per centre is necessary.

The number of atrial fibrillation ablations is increasing tremendously, and, in some countries, more and more procedures are carried out under conscious sedation because of the lack of general anaesthesia availability. Moreover, the legislation about general anaesthesia differs across Europe.

The aim of the questionnaire is to depict the evolution of sedation practices over the last 10 years.  Your answers will be considered anonymous. The answers to be considered are outside the context of the COVID pandemic.  In order to complete the survey in a more straightforward manner, please collect the number of AF ablation performed in your centre in 2010 and 2019, and the drug used for sedation in 2019 before starting the survey.
